2014 Pantone Colour Trend

On Thursday, December 5th 2013 Pantone revealed the Colour of the Year for 2014.            RADIANT ORCHID.

Radiant Orchid Pantone ColourThe colour is perfect for any event, it is neither too garish or ornate.  This captivating, magical and enchanting colour is an invitation to innovation, modern and versatile Radiant Orchid encourages creativity and originality.  It is imbued with a harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, which inspires confidence and its rosy undertones emanate great joy, love and health.  Radiant Orchid is a combination of red, which is energizing, and blue, which is calming.  So purple is a great colour to introduce into a room that is lacking balance.

For a wedding it lends itself to lots of themes including, vintage which is still very popular, beach theme, country theme, just to name a few.

When you are organising corporate events you want to stand out of the crowd and with this colour theme you will definitely have all your guests talking.

Radiant Orchid can be paired with any neutral colour such as silver or gold, however if you want the colour to pop it can be complimented with yellow.  For a vintage event I would pair it with a lovely mushroom or soft beige.  For a beach theme you could pair it with a turquoise blue or cream.  If you were to use this colour on chairs and tables it would be fantastic with either black or white as your main linen theme with Radiant Orchid as your sash, runner or centrepiece.

Be brave with this colour, you can do almost anything with it; from creating a dramatic ambiance or a calm soothing environment for your guests.
